Detail Description

Ammdent Pit & Fissure Sealant is a light-cured, resin-based preventive material designed to protect occlusal surfaces from caries formation. Its low-viscosity formulation ensures deep penetration into pits and fissures, forming a durable protective barrier against bacterial invasion and food debris accumulation.

With excellent flowability, tooth-colored translucency, and fluoride-releasing properties, this sealant enhances long-term enamel protection while maintaining natural aesthetics. It is particularly effective in pediatric and preventive dentistry, where early sealing of susceptible occlusal grooves helps reduce future decay risk.

• Base Material: Resin-based sealant

• Application Area: Occlusal pits and fissures

• Polymerization: LED light cure (20–30 seconds)

• Viscosity: Low-flow

• Clean tooth surface with pumice before application

• Isolate properly using rubber dam or cotton rolls

• Etch enamel with 35–37% phosphoric acid for 15–20 seconds

• Rinse and dry until a frosty white surface appears

• Apply thin layer of sealant into fissures carefully without bubbles

• Light cure for 20–30 seconds using standard curing light

• Check occlusion and adjust if necessary after curing

• Ensure complete isolation during application for best retention
